g-Force T/A KDW 2 |
|
The BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW (""KDW"" for Key
feature: Dry and Wet traction) is the Ultra High
Performance Summer tire that was developed to provide a
blend of superior dry and wet road performance. The
BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW is available in sizes for the
drivers of the world's hottest sports cars, coupes and
sedans. The g-Force T/A KDW is not intended to be driven
in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
The g-Force T/A KDW features large tread blocks to
enhance dry road stability, handling and wear under high
torque loads, while rounded shoulder profiles help
provide feedback for the driver which communicates the
tire's progressive and predictable characteristics as
they reach their limits of adhesion. A silica-reinforced
tread compound with wide circumferential and lateral
grooves form a directional tread design to speed water
evacuation, improved wet traction and reduce the risk of
hydroplaning. This basic tread design technology is
shared with the g-Force T/A radial racing rain tires
used in the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Trans Am
Series. Internally, the twin steel belts are reinforced
by BFGoodrich's ETEC (Equal TEnsion Containment) System
which uses spirally wound nylon strips to provide
excellent strength, consistent footprint pressure and
maximum contact area while it reduces weight and helps
provide more uniform ride quality. The g-Force T/A KDW
tires feature g-Control sidewall inserts to resist
deflection and generate cornering force while rim
protector ribs help protect alloy wheels from curb
damage.

BFGoodrich uses their g-Wedge technology to make the
best performing Radial T/A ever. Derived from the
high modulus sidewall stabilizer design found in the
most advanced and highest speed-rated Comp T/A radials,
G-Wedge technology provides the necessary torsional
integrity for enhanced lateral stability, while
delivering a smooth, comfortable ride. The Radial T/A's
reversible sidewall, which offers a choice of a clean
blackwall look or raised white letter styling, makes it
a perfect choice for muscle car and sport truck
fitments.

Long Trail T/A Tour |
|
The Long Trail T/A Tour is BFGoodrich’s Highway
All-Season light truck tire developed for crossover and
sport utility vehicle drivers looking for tires that can
provide precision on the road in all seasons without
sacrificing comfort and wear life. The Long Trail T/A
Tour is designed to deliver mile after mile in dry, wet
and wintry conditions, even in light snow.
The Long Trail T/A Tour molds an all-season tread rubber
compound into a symmetric tread pattern that features a
closed shoulder design of contoured blocks for crisp
handling and precise cornering on the road while a rigid
center rib provides positive on-center feel at highway
speeds. Strategic siping in all of the tread blocks
increases the biting edges needed for foul weather
traction by enhancing grip in the rain and snow. The
tire’s internal structure includes twin steel belts
reinforced by BFGoodrich’s Equal Tension Containment (ETEC)
System of spirally wrapped nylon to help the tire retain
its shape at highway speeds for a controlled ride and
enhanced durability while a two-ply polyester carcass
helps soak up road shock and resist sidewall flex.

|
Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 |
|
The BFGoodrich
Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 (KM for Key feature: Mud
traction and 2 identifying it as BFGoodrich's 2nd
generation KM tire) is an Off-Road Maximum Traction tire
developed for off-roaders driving full-sized, lifted
trucks that participate in rock climbing and/or other
challenging off-road driving. The Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 is
designed from the mud up to overcome almost any obstacle
in its path by combining more traction and mud-clearing
ability than its predecessor with a smoother ride and
less road noise than normally expected from an
aggressive tire.
The Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 molds an off-road tread compound
into a Krawler T/A KX-inspired symmetric design that
features deep, self-cleaning independent tread blocks
and linear transverse flex zones that provide the
elasticity needed to allow the tire to conform to
off-road obstacles when aired-down and driven at low
speeds.
The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts
and BFGoodrich's Krawler TEK sidewalls and carcass.
Krawler TEK consists of three components that include
aggressive sidewall lugs, cut- and chip-resistant
sidewall compounds and BFGoodrich's TriGard carcass
(three-ply polyester construction) with sidewall cords
that are up to 33 percent stronger than the previous
Mud-Terrain T/A KM tire. These advancements allow for
more bite and sidewall protection along with increased
strength and resistance to bruising caused by rocks and
rough trails. Single strand beads (a single strand of
bead wire is continuously wrapped multiple times until
the desired strength is provided) enhance the tire's fit
to the wheel to improve uniformity and ride quality.
