ContiSportContact 2 SSR |

|
The
ContiSportContact 2 SSR (Self Supporting Runflat) is
Continental's Max Performance Summer run-flat tire
designed to provide temporary extended mobility in the
case of complete air loss due to a puncture. The
ContiSportContact 2 SSR features Continental's bionic*
compound and contour technologies to enhance traction,
braking and handling. Like all summer tires, the
Continental ContiSportContact 2 SSR is not intended to
be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or
on ice.
ContiSportContact 2 SSR tires permit drivers to remain
mobile in the event of a flat tire by allowing them to
reach their destination or tire service facility without
having to replace a flat tire with the spare tire. The
ContiSportContact 2 SSR's reinforced sidewall enables
the car to continue on its way at a maximum speed of 50
mph (80 km/h) for up to 50 miles (80 km), depending on
road conditions and vehicle weight.
The ContiSportContact 2 SSR features Continental's
bionic tread compound technology molded into an
asymmetric design that enhances steering response and
precision while the tire's continuous ribs provide the
circumferential stiffness to transmit drive and braking
forces. The continuous circumferential tread grooves
between the ribs help disperse water to resist
hydroplaning. The tire's internal structure features
Continental's Advanced Mold Contour (AMC), which allows
the tire to become wider during braking to help shorten
stopping distances.
The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts
reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to stabilize the
tread area promoting uniformity and high-speed
durability along with reinforced self-supporting
sidewalls that prevent the inside of the tire from
getting pinched between the road and the rim in the
event of a loss of inflation.

ExtremeContact DWS |
|
The
ExtremeContact DWS (DWS for Dry, Wet & Snow) is
Continental's Ultra High Performance All-Season radial
developed for drivers of sports cars, sports coupes,
performance sedans and sport trucks. The ExtremeContact
DWS is designed to satisfy their year-round driving
needs by blending dry and wet road performance with
light snow and slush traction.
ExtremeContact DWS features an advanced silica-based,
high-grip, all-season tread compound molded into a
unique asymmetrical tread design with stable shoulder
blocks and a continuous, notched intermediate rib on the
outboard side to enhance responsiveness and cornering
stability. The center of the tread features independent
blocks separated by high-angle, criss-cross grooves to
provide the biting edges necessary to deliver wet road
and light snow traction while independent inboard
shoulder blocks help disperse water to further enhance
hydroplaning resistance and foul weather traction.
The ExtremeContact DWS features Tuned Performance
Indicators — visible letters molded into the second rib
from the outboard shoulder to alert drivers of the
tire's performance levels. A visible ""DWS"" indicates
the tire has sufficient tread depth for dry conditions,
as well as wet roads and light snow. After the ""S"" has
worn away, the remaining ""DW"" indicates the tire only
has sufficient tread depth for dry and most wet road
conditions. And after the ""W"" and ""S"" have both worn
away, the remaining ""D"" indicates the tire has
appropriate tread depth for dry conditions only.
The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts
reinforced with spirally wound jointless nylon cap plies
to provide long-term integrity under high-speed
conditions while reducing weight and helping to provide
more uniform ride quality.

The
ContiTouringContact CH95 is Continental's Grand Touring
All-Season tire developed for use on sporty coupes and
luxury performance sedans. The ContiTouringContact CH95
is designed to provide year-round traction, even in
light snow.
The ContiTouringContact CH95 features a silica-enhanced
tread compound that helps lower tire rolling resistance
while improving cold weather traction. This compound is
molded into a symmetric tread design that provides for
the ability to rotate tires to maximize tread life. The
tread pattern is also computer-optimized to reduce noise
and heavily siped to provide the additional biting edges
necessary to enhance traction in light snow. The tire's
internal structure features twin steel belts combined
with a spirally wound jointless nylon reinforcement to
blend high-speed durability with ride uniformity. The
ContiTouringContact CH95 also features weight-optimized
construction to reduce weight and rolling resistance.

The
ContiTouringContact CT95 is Continental's Grand Touring
All-Season tire developed for use on coupes, sedans and

The ContiTouringContact CT95 features a silica-enhanced
tread compound that helps lower tire rolling resistance
while improving cold weather traction. This compound is
molded into a four- or five-rib symmetric tread design
tuned for the size that provides for the ability to
rotate tires to maximize tread life. The tread pattern
is also computer-optimized to reduce noise and heavily

CrossContact UHP |
|
The
CrossContact UHP is Continental's Street/Sport Truck
Summer tire designed for high performance four-wheel
drive sport utility vehicles.
On the outside, the CrossContact UHP uses a
silica-enhanced tread compound to combine wet and dry
road grip with rolling resistance comparable to
passenger car tires. The compound is molded into an
asymmetric tread pattern that features solid outer
shoulder blocks linked to a continuous rib combined with
large, independent tread blocks that flank a
circumferential center rib to provide directional
stability and steering response. Lateral tread grooves
are combined with four, wide circumferential grooves
that provide efficient water drainage to reduce
hydroplaning and enhance wet traction.
Continental CrossContact UHP styling features smooth
black letters reversed out of a serrated sidewall band.

CrossContact LX |
|
The
CrossContact LX is Continental Tire's premium Highway
All-Season tire developed to help crossover, sport
utility vehicles and light duty pickup trucks perform on
the highway, as well as in light off-road conditions.
The CrossContact LX was designed to combine ride and
noise comfort with year-round traction, even in light
snow.
The CrossContact LX features an asymmetric tread design
to blend traction and handling. Its notched outboard
shoulder is supported by a circumferential rib to
provide enhanced ride comfort, steering response and
stability on the road. Siped central tread blocks along
with independent inboard shoulder blocks enhance
all-season traction and braking in light snow and
off-road conditions. Continental's Acoustic Alterra
Technology, derived from the study of sound over all
surfaces, helps reduce road noise. The tire's internal
structure includes twin steel belts to provide strength
on top of a polyester cord body that helps cushion the
ride. All sizes of the CrossContact LX come with a
flanged lower sidewall to help reduce the possibility of
curb damage to expensive wheels.
