Firehawk Indy 500

Firestone’s participation in the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race represents one of the longest relationships in motor sports. When you combine all of the Indy 500 victories earned by Firestone at the Greatest Spectacle in Racing, you have rich tradition backed by a history of performance. The Firehawk INDY 500® is a Performance All-Season tire that was developed for the drivers of cars and light trucks that want to celebrate that tradition by combining Firehawk performance tires with the INDY 500 and “Wings and Wheel” logo of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The Firehawk INDY 500 with UNI-T uses Firestone’s WeatherGrip HP Tread Compound molded into an independent block tread pattern to enhance year-round traction. The tread pattern also uses Firestone’s “Power V” derived technology to further enhance wet traction. Internally, the Firehawk INDY 500 tire’s twin steel belts and polyester cord body deliver responsive handling and cornering stability along with a smooth ride. Additionally, a single strand of steel that is spirally wound is used to form beads that are rounder for a better fit to the wheel and to further enhance handling and ride quality.

NOTE: Tires with section widths of up to 215 mm in width (such as P215/60R14) feature a four “rib” tread design, while tires with section widths of 225 mm (such as P225/60R15) and wider feature a five “rib” tread pattern.

Destination LE

The Destination LE with UNI-T is Firestone's Highway All-Season tire developed to bring the benefits of UNI-T technology to sport utility vehicles, vans and light duty pickup trucks. It is designed to combine much of a passenger tire's quiet comfort with yea-round traction, even in light snow.

On the outside, the Destination LE uses Firestone's Weathergrip tread compound enhanced with a special Long Link Carbon Black (L.L. Carbon) to boost wet traction while improving treadwear. This compound is molded into a symmetric tread design featuring independent blocks that use Firestone's 5 Degree Noise Reduction to generate noise-canceling sound waves to reduce overall tire noise. On the inside, the Destination LE features twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon to provide strength, uniformity and durability on top of a polyester cord body that helps cushion the ride.

Transforce HT

The Transforce HT w/UNI-T is Firestone's Commercial Highway All-Season light truck tire developed to combine comfort with light truck tire capability for sport utility vehicle, pickup, van and commercial vehicle drivers. The Transforce HT is designed primarily for on-road use by providing predictable handling and year-round traction on dry and wet roads, as well as in light snow.

On the outside, Transforce HT radials feature an all-season Long Link Carbon tread compound molded into a symmetric tread design that uses notched shoulders, independent intermediate tread blocks and a continuous center rib to blend handling, foul weather traction and straight line tracking. Wide circumferential grooves provide hydroplaning resistance while lateral grooves and multiple sipes provide the biting edges needed to enhance light snow traction. On the inside, twin steel belts reinforced by spiral-wrapped nylon help maintain the tire's shape to enhance performance at highway speeds while a polyester cord body enhances ride quality.

Destination A/T

The Destination A/T with UNI-T is Firestone's On-/Off-Road All-Terrain tire developed to meet the needs of light truck drivers who desire the look and performance needed for on- and off-road driving. Destination A/T tires are designed to blend an all-terrain tread design with a comfortable ride for sport utility vehicles, pickup trucks and vans while providing year-round traction, even in snow.

The Destination A/T uses Firestone's UNI-T technology to blend off-road traction with enhanced on-road capabilities. UNI-T is a combination of technologies that merge a comprehensive design method with innovative manufacturing features to enhance tire comfort, performance and wear.

The Destination A/T features a Long Link Carbon (a special form of carbon black) enhanced tread compound to blend wet performance and wear on the road with cut, tear and abrasion resistance off the road. The tread compound is molded into a symmetric pattern that features over-the-shoulder design, independent intermediate tread blocks and a continuous center rib to combine off-road traction with enhanced highway stability while circumferential grooves, lateral notches and sipes enhance stormy weather traction. The tire’s internal structure includes twin, high-tensile steel cord belts with a polyester cord body to enhance strength and durability.

Transforce A/T

The Transforce AT w/UNI-T is Firestone's Commercial Traction light truck tire developed to combine on- and off-road traction with light truck tire capability for sport utility vehicle, pickup, van and commercial vehicle drivers. The Transforce AT is designed to provide year-round traction at job sites and forest trails, as well as on the road and in snow.
