Eagle F1 GS-D3 EMT |
|
|
|

|
The Eagle
F1 GS-D3 EMT is a Max Performance Summer,
self-supporting run-flat tire developed for
Mercedes-Benz featuring Goodyear's self-supporting
Extended Mobility Technology (EMT) to provide temporary
mobility even after a puncture results in complete loss
of air pressure. The Eagle F1 GS-D3 EMT excels in wet
conditions by delivering class-leading hydroplaning
resistance and traction, as well as competitive dry
performance. Like all summer tires, it is not intended
to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow
or on ice.
The Eagle F1 GS-D3 EMT tires feature Goodyear's AAtrax
tread compound molded into a distinctive wet weather
racing-derived OneTRED directional tread design and
earns the highest AA Uniform Tire Quality Grade wet
traction rating. The Eagle F1 GS-D3 EMT's OneTRED design
combines three distinct patterns to enhance dry and wet
performance. A solid and continuous center zone
maintains constant road contact to enhance straight-line
tracking and initial steering response. Next, sweeping
intermediate power transfer bridges use ""virtual rib""
technology that emulates racing slicks by delivering
shoulder-to-shoulder tread contact to further enhance
steering response and dry road cornering traction. Then,
sweeping aquachannel grooves, which are three times
longer than the tire's contact patch, angle forward and
out to the edges of the tread to avoid trapping water
between the tire and the road enhancing wet traction and
hydroplaning resistance. And finally, the virtual ribs
flow into the shoulder area to form long, stable
shoulder blocks that grip the road during cornering and
help resist the wear associated with aggressive driving.
The tire's internal structure includes twin,
high-tensile steel belts reinforced with spirally wound
nylon that distribute the vehicle's load across the
tire's footprint to enhance steering precision,
stability and high-speed durability. The tire's
reinforced sidewalls are capable of temporarily
supporting the weight of the car even after a puncture
results in complete loss of air pressure. Exterior
sidewall rim flange protectors help guard wheels from
curb damage.
NOTE: EMT tires are only recommended for vehicles that
are originally equipped with self-supporting run-flat
tires and equipped with a tire pressure monitoring
system.

Eagle LS-2 |
|
Eagle LS-2
tires are the second generation of Goodyear's ""Luxury
Sport"" Grand Touring All Season tires developed to
deliver a smooth quiet ride and all-season traction,
even in light snow. And while this makes them an
appropriate choice for many of today's domestic and
imported luxury sedans, Goodyear Eagle LS-2 tires are
also used as Original Equipment on minivans, crossovers,
sport utility vehicles and specialty pickup trucks.
Eagle LS-2 tires have a symmetric, independent tread
block design featuring computer-optimized block sizes to
minimize tread noise for a quiet ride. Wide
circumferential channels help evacuate water from
beneath the contact patch to enhance wet traction while
sipes provide hundreds of biting edges for traction in
light snow. The tire's internal structure features twin
steel belts reinforced by nylon (varies depending on
size and speed requirements) for strength and high-speed
durability.

"Original
Equipment (OE) All-Season tires are the prevalent tire
choice for vehicles sold in the United States. Developed
for use on new cars and light trucks, these tires
provide a versatile blend of ride quality, noise
comfort, treadwear, handling and year-round traction,
even in light snow.
While Original Equipment All-Season tires are often
repurchased as direct replacements for pairs and sets of
worn out Original Equipment tires, they can also be used
on other vehicles in axle pairs or sets of four if they
match the needed tire size, load range and speed rating
specifications, as well as the anticipated driving
conditions.
While we attempt to provide a picture of as many of
these tires as possible, the pictures used to represent
these tires cannot be guaranteed to be an exact
depiction of each tire's appearance because of the
variety of subtle differences in tread designs and
sidewall styling."

Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar |
|
The
Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar® (MT/R - Maximum
Traction/Reinforced) is Goodyear's Off-Road Maximum
Traction tire developed for light truck driving
enthusiasts who take off-road traction seriously. The
Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar is designed to increase tire
toughness when it conquers mud, crawls over rocks and
explores trails.
The Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar features a silica rubber
tread compound molded into an asymmetric tread design
that combines off-road traction with on-road handling
and wet traction. Goodyear's advanced mud-flow geometry
tread design enhances self-cleaning capabilities while
shoulder blocks (which alternate being stepped in and
out) and a wraparound tread design on the upper sidewall
increase traction in mud, sand, ruts and rocks. The
tire's internal structure features twin steel belts and
is Goodyear's first off-road tire to incorporate Dupont
Kevlar, an innovative material that's, pound for pound,
five times stronger than steel. The use of Kevlar
sidewall reinforcement brings enhanced cut and puncture
resistance to an area of the tire that demands extra
toughness when driving off-road (increasing sidewall cut
and puncture resistance by about 35% compared to the
original Wrangler MT/R). The Kevlar also helps stabilize
the sidewalls when drivers return to the pavement for
the ride home.
