Ecsta SPT

The Ecsta SPT (KU31) is Kumho's Ultra High Performance Summer tire developed for sports cars, coupes and sedans. The Ecsta SPT was designed to offer grip, handling, comfort, wear and good looks in order to provide enthusiastic drivers the ability to ""Drive Hard 'Go Big' Look Good."" Ecsta SPT tires are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

On the outside, Ecsta SPT tires feature Kumho's High Dispersion Silica tread compound (that broadens the tread rubber's temperature operating range) molded into a directional tread design that features large, independent shoulder blocks, four straight circumferential grooves and three solid center ribs to combine wet grip, responsive handling and high-speed stability. Rotation Wear Indicators (R.W.I.) are built into the Ecsta SPT to let drivers know the time has come to rotate tires to maintain more even wear and lower noise levels into the later stages of the tire's life. On the inside, Ecsta SPT tires feature twin steel belts reinforced by a spiral-wrapped, jointless nylon cap ply to enhance ride quality while providing high-speed durability.






 

Ecsta ASX

The Ecsta ASX (ASX for All-Season Xtreme) is a member of Kumho's race-proven Ecsta high performance tire family. It is an Ultra High Performance All-Season tire that was developed to meet the needs of the drivers of sports cars, coupes and sedans by blending responsive handling with dry, wet and year-round traction, even in light snow.

On the outside, the Ecsta ASX molds a high technology silica and carbon tread compound into an asymmetric tread design that features large outside tread blocks for quick response and sporty handling with high volume circumferential and high angle slant grooves to resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction. Constant contact center blocks help reduce noise while providing continuous road contact to improve straight-line stability. Internally, Ecsta ASX tires feature Kumho's Dynamic Casing Shape Technology that controls casing tension throughout the tire. This allows the Ecsta ASX to increase ride comfort by absorbing bumps and increase handling by remaining stable when cornering. Ecsta ASX tires feature twin, high-tensile steel belts with spiral-wrapped jointless cap and belt edge strips to stabilize the tread area enhancing handling, high-speed capability and ride quality while minimizing weight.

Ecsta AST

The Ecsta AST is the High Performance All-Season member of Kumho's Ecsta family of performance tires for the drivers of modified coupes, sedans and sports cars. The Ecsta AST is designed to offer the exotic looks, traction and value tuners want in a tire while providing year-round traction on dry and wet roads, as well as through occasional light snow.

The Ecsta AST molds Kumho's advanced carbon, all-season tread compound into a directional tread design with shoulders designed to increase cornering grip while the center provides linear responsiveness and high-speed stability. Dual-angle cross grooves help pump water and slush through the tire's footprint to increase hydroplaning resistance while multiple sipes in each tread block increase the number of biting edges to enhance light snow traction. The tire's structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon, along with a polyester cord ply carcass reinforced by a hard sidewall filler to help resist distortion at high speeds and while cornering.

Solus KH16

The Solus KH16 (so'lus) is KUMHO's Grand Touring All-Season offering developed for the drivers of sporty coupes and sedans. Solus KH16 tires were designed to offer a harmonious balance of noise comfort, ride comfort and handling performance, along with dry, wet and year-round traction, even in light snow.

The Solus KH16 is refined through the use of KUMHO's ESCOT Technology that optimizes the tire's shape, internal tension and footprint contact pressure. On the outside, the Solus KH16 tires feature an all-season tread compound molded into a symmetric tread design that features full-depth circumferential and multiple lateral grooves to enhance traction in rain and light snow. On the inside, twin steel belts are reinforced by nylon belt edge strips to provide high speed stability and durability, while polyester body plies provide carcass strength and a smooth ride.

Solus KR21

The Solus KR21 is Kumho Tire's Standard Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of family coupes, sedans and minivans, as well as crossover and sport utility vehicles. The Solus KR21 is designed to offer a combination of long wear, low noise and good ride with competent handling and all-season traction, even in light snow.

The Solus KR21 features Kumho's traction-enhancing advanced carbon compound molded into a computer-designed tread pattern that combines independent shoulder blocks, notched intermediate ribs and a continuous center rib to provide predictable handling, straight-line tracking and low noise. Four circumferential grooves help resist hydroplaning and full-depth sipes, effective for the life of the tire, cut through water film to enhance wet grip and all-season traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts to provide strength and is reinforced by nylon belt edge layers (normally only found in high speed/high performance tires),to enhance durability and stability. A polyester cord body provides a smooth ride and spirally wound single strand beads provide more precise tire-to-rim fit to reduce the possibility of vibration.

Road Venture AT KL78

"The Road Venture AT KL78 is Kumho's On-/Off-Road All-Terrain light truck tire developed for the drivers of jeeps, pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles that want to combine on-road driving manners with off-road driving ability. The Road Venture AT KL78 is available in large rim diameter sizes designed to deliver year-round traction on-pavement and off-road, as well as in snow.

The Road Venture AT KL78 molds a cut- and chip-resistant compound into a symmetric, all-terrain tread pattern with large, independent tread blocks for directional stability, steering response and off-road traction. Full depth circumferential zigzag grooves along with multiple lateral grooves evacuate water to resist hydroplaning and enhance traction on wet roads and in snow. Optimized tread groove tapers promote self-cleaning ability to help eject dirt, mud and snow for better loose-surface traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon cord to promote a uniform tire shape that provides strength and durability. A two-ply polyester cord body enhances ride quality while it helps provide protection from on- and off-road stresses.

Road Venture MT KL71

The Road Venture MT KL71 is Kumho's Off-Road Maximum Traction light truck tire developed for the drivers of 4x4 jeeps, pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles looking for aggressive off-road performance and assertive on-road appearance. The Road Venture MT KL71 is available in large rim diameter sizes designed to be at home in mild to wild on- and off-road conditions.

The Road Venture MT KL71 features a cut- and chip-resistant tread compound molded into a directional pattern comprised of packed center blocks, alternating width shoulder lugs, mud/stone ejector bars and aggressive sidewall lugs that provide the biting edges needed to dig through mud and travel along trails, as well as claw their way through ruts and over rocks. The tire's internal structure includes two high-tensile steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon for strength and durability. A unique rubber compound under the tread and above the belts helps block out impact shock and noise to enhance ride comfort. A two-ply polyester cord body enhances ride quality while it helps provide protection from on- and off-road stresses.

Road Venture APT KL51

The Road Venture APT KL51 is KUMHO's Highway All-Season Tire developed for the light trucks and SUV owners who drive North America's streets and highways. The Road Venture APT is a multipurpose tire designed to provide a comfortable ride, enhance driving stability and reduce road noise, while providing traction in a variety of weather conditions, including in light snow.

The Road Venture APT features an all-season tread compound formulated to combine wet and dry traction with enhanced treadwear. The tread compound is molded into a symmetric tread design that features a continuous center rib that provides constant road contact to enhance stability, independent intermediate tread blocks to improve poor weather traction, and interconnected shoulder blocks to enhance responsiveness and promote even wear. The Road Venture APT structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to help resist distortion at highway speeds and while cornering. A polyester cord body helps deliver strength and durability along with a smooth ride.
